Cambria is a town located in Niagara County, New York, USA. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 5,393. Cambria is an early name for Wales.

History
The Town of Cambria was established in 1808 when Niagara county was formed. Cambria was the original town of Niagara County; all other towns were formed from its territory after 1812.
When Genesee County, New York was formed in 1802, all of Niagara County was included and was part of the Town of Batavia. Subsequently Erie County was created by removing the Towns of Willink and Clarence, both towns having been created from Cambria in Niagara County.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 103.3 km² (39.9 mi²). 103.3 km² (39.9 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
The Town of Cambria is west of the City of Lockport and northeast of the City of Niagara Falls.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 5,393 people, 1,995 households, and 1,524 families residing in the town. The population density is 52.2/km² (135.3/mi²). There are 2,066 housing units at an average density of 20.0/km² (51.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 98.29% White, 0.26% African American, 0.50% Native American, 0.41% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.06% from other races, and 0.46% from two or more races. 0.52% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,995 households out of which 34.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.1% are married couples living together, 6.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 23.6% are non-families. 19.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.70 and the average family size is 3.10.
In the town the population is spread out with 25.4% under the age of 18, 6.6% from 18 to 24, 29.5% from 25 to 44, 24.8% from 45 to 64, and 13.6% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 99.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 97.1 males.
The median income for a household in the town is $46,534, and the median income for a family is $54,583. Males have a median income of $45,767 versus $25,545 for females. The per capita income for the town is $20,397. 5.1% of the population and 4.1% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 5.7% of those under the age of 18 and 5.2% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

- Cambria Station -- A hamlet near the south town line on Shawnee Road (Route 425).
- Comstock Corners -- A location in the southeast corner at the junction of Saunders Settlement Road and Comstock Road.
- Hickory Corners -- A hamlet at the eastern town line on Town Line Road (Route 93).
- Molyneaux Corners -- A hamlet in the northeast corner of the town on Ridge Road, named after early settler William Molyneaux.
- North Ridge -- A hamlet near the north town line on Cambria-Wilson Road (Route 425).
- Pekin -- A hamlet on the west town line on Upper Mountain Road.
- Sanborn - A hamlet partly in Cambira. Most of this hamlet is in the Town of Lewiston.
- Streeters Corners -- A hamlet north of Cambria Center on Cambria-Wilson Road (Route 425) and Ridge Road (Route 104).
- Warren Corners -- A hamlet in the northeast corner of the town on Ridge Road (Route 104).
Adjacent towns and areas
The north border is shared with the Town of Wilson. Cambria and the Town of Lewiston share the western border. To the east of Cambria is the Town of Lockport. Cambria's south border is the Towns of Pendleton and Wheatfield.
