CHBX is a Canadian television station, broadcasting in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. It is affiliated with CTV, through Northern Ontario's MCTV television system.
CHBX is essentially a semi-satellite of CICI. It airs the same programming as CICI at all times, except some commercials and regional segments on the news.
The station first aired in 1978 with the call letters CKCY. It was owned by Huron Broadcasting, and was a sister station of an AM radio outlet with the same call letters. It adopted the current CHBX call sign in 1986, when the radio stations' sale to the Mid-Canada Radio Network meant that the TV and radio station no longer had common ownership.
In 1990, Huron sold CHBX and its CBC twinstick CJIC to Baton Broadcasting, which merged them into the MCTV system. Baton became the sole corporate owner of CTV in 1997, and sold CJIC to the CBC in 2002.
CHBX also broadcasts on channel 7 in Wawa.Template:Canada-bcast-stub
