Bubs is a character in the Homestar Runner series of animated cartoons. The businessman of the series, Bubs runs the concession stand on the side of the sports field, and also serves as a handyman. If Bubs is to be believed, his full name is Bubs' Conces5ion Stand (he ran out of tiles for the letter s on his sign).
He enjoys dance music and goes to night school at Disco Tech. Bubs loves muscle cars and once built a hot rod out of a pumpkin. He was once able to fly, but it became useless after he gained a significant amount of weight, and lost the ability entirely by saying "Sbu".
Bubs's voice was inspired both by actor Redd Foxx and an actual concession stand owner The Brothers Chaps knew.
Bubs and Coach Z hang out together when they aren't working, but this is implied rather than explicitly shown. When Coach Z left a drunk message on Marzipan's answering machine, Bubs can be heard in the background, apparently also drunk. It has also been hinted that he is a divorcee, that he has money problems and is on the run from at least one collection agency.
When Bubs dons dark sunglasses and tapes a sheet of paper reading "TH" to his chest, he becomes his alter-ego, the Thnikkaman. He is accompanied by voices calling "Here comes the Thnikkaman!" on his arrival and "There goes the Thnikkaman!" on his departure. The Thnikkaman apparently possesses awesome and completely undefined powers, but his only notable actions is that he says "Shut up, kid!" and "Yeah." He is regarded by the other characters as "cool", but for no apparent reason: his coolness is self-evident to them.
Bubs also does the voicework for the Wheelchair in the Sweet Cuppin' Cakes sub-cartoons.
