Bragança is both a city and a district in north-east Portugal.
The city consists of two parishes (Sé and Santa Maria) with a total population of 20,000, while the municipality has 34,412 and 49 parishes. Its area is 1,173 km². Its postal code is 5301.
In the district, Mirandela and Macedo de Cavaleiros are also important centers. The neighbouring municipalities are Vimioso in the southeast, Vinhais in the southwest and Macedo de Cavaleiros in the west.
