The Bishop of Derby is the Ordinary of the Church of England Diocese of Derby in the Province of Canterbury.
The diocese covers the county of Derbyshire and a small area of Cheshire. The see in the City of Derby where the seat is located at The Cathedral Church of All Saints, formerly a parish church, which was elevated to cathedral status in 1927.
The Bishop's residence is Derby Church House, Derby.
The diocese was formed from part of the Diocese of Southwell in 1927 under King George V. Before this time however there had been two Suffragan bishops of Derby whilst the bishopric was still within the Diocese of Southwell. The current bishop is the Right Reverend Jonathan Sansbury Bailey, the 6th Lord Bishop of Derby, who signs Jonathan Derby.
