Bharata Muni

Bharata Muni, dated variously 5th century BC to 2nd century BC authored the Natya Shastra, a text on Indian arts including theater, dance, acting, and music. An Indian sage, It was intended to be a guide to sanskrit theatre, like Aristotle's Poetics.

It also has results on combinatorics or relevance to music.
