Bewick Bridge

Bewick Bridge (1767-1833) studied mathematics at Cambridge University, where he was Senior Wrangler in 1790 and later a Fellow of Peterhouse.
His book Algebra achieved international circulation.
He was vicar of Cherry Hinton in Cambridge, where in 1818 he built the vicarage, and started the Church of England Infant School.
He was at some time Professor of Mathematics at the East India Company College.
