Ben Bitdiddle

Ben Bitdiddle is a mythical character used (most famously) in the problem sets for 6.001 at MIT. He considerably predates this class, though, since he was created by Steve Ward (http://www.csail.mit.edu/biographies/PI/bioprint.php?PeopleID=61) for use in problem sets for its predecessor, 6.031, in the 1970s. He has since appeared in a large number of other locations, including other classes as MIT, and at other institutions.
