Beecher is a town located in Marinette County, Wisconsin. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 783.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 127.9 km² (49.4 mi²). 125.7 km² (48.5 mi²) of it is land and 2.2 km² (0.9 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 1.74% water.Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 783 people, 334 households, and 227 families residing in the town. The population density is 6.2/km² (16.1/mi²). There are 971 housing units at an average density of 7.7/km² (20.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 94.25% White, 1.15% African American, 1.92% Native American, 0.26% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.89% from other races, and 1.53% from two or more races. 2.17% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 334 households out of which 22.8% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.9% are married couples living together, 5.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 32.0% are non-families. 26.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 11.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
