Bear Mountain is the tallest mountain with its peak in Connecticut, USA, at 2,316 feet (706 m). An 8-foot tall stone flattened pyramid was built on the peak in 1885. The plaque on the pyramid erroneously calls the peak the tallest point of land in Connecticut - an honor that belongs to the south slope of Frissell Mountain, whose peak is in Massachusetts.
The Appalachian Trail climbs to the summit of Bear Mountain.
