Ayerdhal

Ayerdhal, a French science fiction writer, was born 1959 in Lyon, France. He received the Grand Prix de l'Imaginaire in 1993 for his novel Demain une oasis and is considered one of the leading names in the current generation of French science fiction authors. He also shared the Prix Tour Eiffel with co-author J-C Dunyach for their 1999 novel Etoile mourantes.
In addition to his own writing career he devotes part of his time to supporting aspiring young authors.
The covers of all of Ayerdhal's novels have been illustrated by Gilles Francescano whose drawings, according to the author, were the inspiration for the main character in his 1993 novel L'histrion.
