The Asgard High Council in the fictional Stargate SG-1 television series, is the governing body for the Asgard race. It is composed of an unknown number of at least 7 Asgard including Freyr, Thor, and Penigal. The Asgard High Council makes decisions that will affect the whole race as does any government.
