In the fictional universe of J. R. R. Tolkien, Ar-Sakalthôr (2876 - 3102 S.A., r. 3033 - 3102 S.A.) was the 22nd ruler of Númenor. He followed the royal tradition of turning away from the ways of the Valar. He succeeded his father Ar-Zimrathôn as King, ruling Númenor for sixty-nine years, and was succeeded by his son, Ar-Gimilzôr. The traditional Quenya version of his name was "Tar-Falassion". It means "Shore-son" or "Child of the Shore".
