Anthony Salvin (1799-1881) was an eminent Victorian architect, renowned for his restoration of Medieval buildings, including parts of Windsor Castle. His ebullient masterpiece, Harlaxton Manor, is in a rich mix of Jacobean detailing with Baroque massing and symmetry.
