Anson P. Morrill

Anson Peaslee Morrill (June 10, 1803–July 4, 1887) was an American statesman. Originally a storekeeper and millkeeper, he was the Governor of Maine from 1855 to 1856, represented Maine's fourth district in the United States House of Representatives from 1861 to 1863 and served in the Maine state legislature. He was older brother to Lot M. Morrill, a U.S. Treasury Secretary under President Ulysses S. Grant.
