Anne Garrels

Anne Garrels is a foreign correspondent for National Public Radio in the United States. She was one of the few Western journalists who remained in Baghdad and reported live during the 2003 Iraq War. Shortly after her return from Iraq, she published Naked in Baghdad (ISBN 0374529035), a memoir of her time covering the events surrounding the invasion. She has since returned to Iraq several times for NPR, including during the January 2005 Iraqi election, which she covered from Najaf.
