Andy C, real name Andrew Clarke, is a British DJ and producer. He is consistently voted World's Greatest Drum and Bass DJ. He specialises in fast mixing, often employing three turntables, and is known for mixing established classics with the latest releases. The popularity of Andy C on the Drum and Bass circuit means that he invariably has big records before most other DJs.
Andy C began his DJ career at raves in his native Essex at age 14. He is also an accomplished producer, working solo and with Ant Miles as Origin Unknown and also with Shimon as Ram Trilogy. Between them, they have produced many enduring anthems such as "Titan", "No Reality" and Valley of the Shadows, as well as a great number or remixes. Their 2002 hit "Body Rock" also achieved the rare distinction of being a Drum and Bass record which sold enough copies to reach the UK pop charts.
Andy C's record label RAM records was started by Andy and Ant Miles. Ram consists of top end djs and producers: Shimon, Red One, Moving Fusion and now DJ Fresh (formerly of Bad Company). Ram's biggest release of recent times have been Night Breed's "Pack of Wolves", Fresh's "Hooded", Fresh's "Capture the Flag", and Shimons "Grudge Match".
