Amite City is a town located in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 4,110.
Geography
Amite City is located at 30°43'43" North, 90°30'31" West (30.728718, -90.508519)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 10.0 km² (3.9 mi²). 10.0 km² (3.8 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.52% water.
