Americana

Americana refers to artifacts of unmistakably American culture. A few examples include:
- Baseball
- Apple pie
- The Diner
- George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue
- American Folk Art
In music, Americana is a loose subset of American roots music, that is perhaps best defined as "classic American music" -- ranging in style from patriotic songs like "The Star-Spangled Banner," bluegrass music, Alternative country, and well known children's songs such as "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" and "John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt".
The term Americana may refer also to any of the following:
- Americana - an album released by The Offspring on November 10, 1998.
- Americana - an album released by Starflyer 59 in 1997.
- Americana, São Paulo - a city in São Paulo state, Brazil.
- The Americana was an early twentieth century encyclopedia.
