Alpha Centauri B (also Rigel Kentaurus B — the foot of the centaur in Arabic) is a star of the Alpha Centauri star system. It is approximately 4.40 light years from Earth's Solar System.
Alpha Centauri B is also known as HD 128621, HR 5460, GCTP 3309.00B, and LHS 51.
