Allerton is a suburb of Liverpool, England.
It lies about 3 miles south east of the city centre. It has a number of large houses in the prestigious Calderstones Park area, with Victorian working class terraces around the shopping area of Allerton Road. There are 2 secondary schools, New Hays and Calderstones. Allerton railway station is actually in nearby Garston: Mossley Hill and West Allerton are closer to Allerton itself.
Called Alretune in the Domesday Book, 'A town where Alder Trees grow' from the Old English words 'alor' and 'tun'. Allerton is dead boss.
