Alizée Jacotey (stage name just Alizée, born in Ajaccio, Corsica, on August 21, 1984) is a French singer. She is considered to be the protégée of Mylène Farmer, a well-established and successful Quebec-born French singer. Alizée's most popular single was Moi... Lolita which enjoyed success throughout most of Europe and parts of east Asia. Indeed, Alizée's image is that of a seductive Lolita character. Alizee is currently taking a break from singing but is expected to return with a new album in autumn 2006. Alizee married fellow french singer Jérémy Châtelain in 2004. The couple had their first child, Anny-Lee, in April 2005.
Her name is a little unusual, being the feminine form of alizé, meaning trade wind.
