Akasaka, Okayama

Akasaka (赤坂町; -cho) is a town located in Akaiwa District, Okayama, Japan.
Akasaka is home to many restaurants and small shops. It is also home to the local shinto Hie (Sanno) Shrine.
Akasaka is featured in two woodblock prints by Hiroshige in his series, "100 views of Edo". These prints are #48, "The Paulownia Plantation at Akasaka" and #65, "The Entrance of the Sanno Festival Procession to Kojimachi".
Akasaka is located on the Chiyoda line of the Tokyo Metro system. Nearby public transit stations include the Tammeike-Sanno stop on the Ginza and Namboku lines, Akasaka-Mitsuke, on the Ginza and Marunouchi lines, and Kokkai-Gijidomae, on the Marunouchi line.
