Advanced Data Communication Control Procedures

In telecommunication, Advanced Data Communication Control Procedures (or Protocol) (ADCCP) is a bit-oriented data link layer protocol used to provide point-to-point and point-to-multipoint transmission of data frames that contain error-control information.
Note: ADCCP closely resembles High level data link control (HDLC) and synchronous data link control (SDLC).
ADCCP has 3 main modes - NRM (Normal Response mode akin to SDLC), ABM (Asyncronous Balanced mode - akin to HDLC) and ARM (Asynchronous Response mode)
