4 (New York City Subway service)

For the former Template:BMT service, see BMT 4.

Template:NYCS logo The 4 Lexington Avenue Express is a service of the New York City Subway. It is colored green, since it uses the Lexington Avenue Line through midtown. Trains of the Template:NYCS 4 service run all the time. The usual pattern is express through Manhattan and Brooklyn and local elsewhere; at late nights it is local everywhere. Some rush hour trips in the peak direction run to New Lots Avenue; it also extends there late nights, when the Template:NYCS 3 doesn't run.

The 4 is the official train of the New York Yankees, having a stop at Yankee Stadium, located at Template:NYCS sta in the Bronx. Several R62 and R142 cars running on this line are decorated with Yankee logos and colors.
