Yatsushiro (八代郡; -gun) is a district located in Kumamoto, Japan.
As of 2003, the district has an estimated population of 46,994 and a density of 82.93 persons per km². The total area is 566.68 km².
Towns and villages
In 2005, all the towns of the district with the exception of Ryuhoku and Miyahara are scheduled to be amalgamated into Yatsushiro City, as part of the "Great Heisei Merger" government initiative.
