Yasu River

The Yasu (野洲川 -gawa) is a river in Shiga Prefecture, Japan. It is the largest river which flows into Lake Biwa.
The Tokaido, the chief road which connected east and west Japan during the Edo period, was along the river. The post towns (宿場町 Shukuba-machi) along the river include Minakuchi (now Koka), Tsuchiyama (now Koka), and Ishibe (now Konan).
