Watts Humphrey

Watts Humphrey is a key thinker in the discipline of software development management.
The author of several books including Managing the Software Process, Humphrey is a Fellow and research scientist at Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute (SEI), where he founded its Software Process Program and developed concepts underlying the Capability Maturity Model (CMM). He introduced the disciplines of the Personal Software Process (PSP) and the Team Software Process (TSP). The Watts Humphrey Software Quality Institute in Chennai, India is named after him. Before joining SEI, Humphrey was previously a Vice President at IBM.
