Wakefield is a 4 piece rock band originated in Mechanicsville, Maryland. They released their debut American Made on Arista Records in Spring of 2003. The band consists of 4 young, talented kids from Maryland. The band has close ties to platinum recording artists Good Charlotte, being their drummer Aaron Escolopio, left Good Charlotte to play with his brother, singer Ryan Escolopio in Wakefield. There is rumored to be some tension between Good Charlotte and Wakefield, but the tension might have been put in the past.
Wakefield is releasing their sophomore album on Jive Records. The album is titled Which Side Are You On? and should be released in June of 2005. Their first single off the album is the impressive C'mon Baby, showing some versatility from a band that some have written off as pop-punk wannabe's.
