Hello Wenzi, welcome to Wikipedia.
You might find these links helpful: How to edit a page, How to write a great article, Naming conventions, Manual of Style. You should read our policies at some point too.
If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump, or ask me on my talk page. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian!
- You can introduce yourself on the new users page.
- You can find lots more information, including open tasks and daily tips, at the community portal.
- You can sign your name using three tildes, like this: ~~~. If you use four, you can add a datestamp as well.
- Before saving a page, it's a good idea to use the Show preview button to review your edits. Also, consider writing a summary for each edit.
Again, welcome! Chris Roy 05:05, 19 Apr 2004 (UTC)
No source text please!
Please note that wikipedia is not a repository for source texts, so if Guidelines for National Unification is not written into an article, it will have to be deleted. Cheers, Jiang 03:42, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- Yes, source texts would belong at wikisource. If you want to, you can leave behind some commentary on the Guidelines that can do for an article. --Jiang 04:59, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Encoding
Chinese should be in html unicode. The software automatically converts this i think if you insert the displayed chinese and submit it. are you just sumbmitting the unconverted Big5 Code? I converted your code (using IE 6) by going to View -> Encoding and selecting Chinese traditional. I'm not knowledgeable on the details, so if it doesn't work, try asking the wikipedia:village pump. --Jiang 06:42, 5 Aug 2004 (UTC)
- I'm not sure what you mean by "main page". The wikipedia main page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page)?
- Looks like the encoding at Guidelines for National Unification isn't working. I'm not sure what's wrong so post a question at the wikipedia:village pump. --Jiang 08:40, 22 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Taiwan Notice board
Hello, I am coming to advertise the Wikipedia:Taiwan-related topics notice board which is designed for people to interact and discuss proposals. Since it is relatively new compared to other boards, it is not quite active yet. I have just noticed that you are having a great time living in Taiwan. :) I am wondering if you would consider to sign in as one of the contributors?Mababa 05:07, 8 Feb 2005 (UTC)
