Hello! Like you I am quite interested in comics, but what really got my attention on your review of Will Eisner's book on comics and sequential art was that bibliographic data box to the right. I have been in deep at times (up to my nose)in the issues surrounding Web based document metadata standards such as Dublin Core in the last two years. And I have had the occasion over the last twenty years to look at traditional bibliographic Catalog standards such as the ISBD and the ancient AACR. It was quite a surpise to see what seems to be yet another standard pop up in front of me during my Wikipedia "leisure" activity. Just where did you get that bibliographical info box? hi alain,

I've only recently heard out about the wonders of Dublin; I just made up the table based on the data fields we used to get at the bookstore I worked at: the essential Title/Author/Publisher/Date, and the lookup information that helps you buy a book (or find it at a library) -- I worked with antiquarian books too, so info about original editions is also dear to me -- it could probably do with a bit of refining, or being based on a real standard

I copied the table itself from the Mars entry (the table implementation on the wiki looks a bit iffy to me, but I'll leave that till I've analysed the XHTML + CSS implementation)

usability of virtual desktops sounds like a really interesting topic, I'll have a look at your articles asap (Office of the future looks really cool!)

Hello! Thanks for the context! I started Wikipedia:WikiProject Books to make this go a little bit farther, I hope. I am now a bit pessimistic about the use of an Infobox for books in the near future, after having just read Wikipedia:WikiProject Novels and learned of the hatred of some for Infoboxes. I think the bibliographical standard for citations might be adapted to other needs, and eventually adapted to a user/editor optional Infobox. But then again it might not. Quarto by email

Hi Kwill (D@vid), a new mailing list has been set up to distribute news about the Wikimedia foundation, specifically at the moment to publicise Quarto. I saw your name on the quarto talk page requesting a copy by email, and I think this mailing list is how we're going to do it for the moment. It'll be a html email, which I've added to the Quarto talk page m:Talk:WQ. Mailing list is called Foundation-news-l (http://mail.wikipedia.org/mailman/listinfo/foundation-news-l) (We also need translators!) Cheers w:User:Cormaggio
