Hello, thanks for voicing your concern on my talk page. I reverted your edit simply because I saw that you had munged the address, and, not immediately seeing a reason why, thought that Wikipedia would be served better by including proper external links. However, I've not read the page in more detail, visited the site in question, and I see your concern over the issue of Google bombs. I apologize for reverting the edit without sufficient research, and I now agree (assuming the addition of this link on Wikipedia will aid the bomb -- I'm not familiar enough with Google's page ranking system to know for sure) that this address should be munged in some way. However, since I'm sure there are those on both sides of the issue, I think a discussion on the talk page would be the best way to resolve the issue. Until that can be done, feel free to revert my edit. Thanks for letting me know about this. – Jrdioko (Talk) 01:45, May 18, 2004 (UTC)
- Please see the discussion on Talk:Jew Watch about the address munging. What you said before at first seemed to make a great deal of sense, but the other two who commented did bring up an important part about NPOV. Even if the site is anti-semitic, NPOV policies on Wikipedia state that it still has to be approached from a neutral point of view. I'm changing my opinion about the issue, and please don't re-munge the address without the consensus of others on the talk page. Thanks. – Jrdioko (Talk) 03:49, May 18, 2004 (UTC)
- Since the consensus of other Wikipedians doesn't support the changes you've been making, please discuss your reasons why those edits should be made on the talk page. Thanks. – Jrdioko (Talk) 04:18, May 18, 2004 (UTC)
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- Create an account so that others will recognize you as you contribute. Then, if you want your old edits to be transferred to your new account, take a look at how to change attribution for an edit.
- Once you are registered, add your name to the new user log to let others know a little about yourself.
- Read the article describing how to edit a page and feel free to experiment in the Sandbox.
- When editing pages, use the preview button before submitting and try to fill in the summary box for every edit.
- Eventually, read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk or ask me on my talk page.
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!
Jrdioko
P.S. One last helpful hint. To sign your posts like I did above (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
Hi there,
I see that User:RickK is listing the articles you are creating for TLDs (.ac, .ad, .ae) on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion.. I suggest you head on over to Template:VfD-dot-ac-etc and contribute to the discussion before spending too much time creating more TLD articles.. --Stormie 03:25, May 18, 2004 (UTC)
Hi. Just because there's a red link doesn't mean that there's a need to create an article, especially when all you're doing is copying from another site. RickK 03:43, 18 May 2004 (UTC)
Please make your comments about Jew Watch in the Talk page, not in the article page. RickK 04:16, 18 May 2004 (UTC)
Why do you show any view towards "The Powerpuff Girls"? There are better and more popular shows out there (i.e. Spongebob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer, The Fairly Oddparents). Why not pay more attention to those cartoons? --65.73.0.137
