Haha - this is WEIRD. I'm vandalizing Wikipedia like there's no tommorow, and all of these poor blokes are getting blamed. Tough luck, chumps! - The REAL 198.81.26.105

If you want to write an article about the movie An American Werewolf in London, please do so, but don't give us your opinions on the movie. RickK 02:01, 16 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Um, i don't know what you're talking about. this is my first time on this site. goodbye if im not welcome. there's something wrong with your IP tracking system because youve got the wrong person. And I cant write to you on your own page because you will "delete me without consideration"
- I doubt there is something wrong with the tracking system. If you're telling the truth, it may be because you're behind a proxy, or using a dynamic IP. Sorry for any misunderstanding. -Frazzydee 05:01, 1 Jul 2004 (UTC)
I think he is right because this is my first visit here and i'm not behind a proxy and that is definately not my ip... Grtz, Shrike
Yes, I sure think he is right, because now I am the next person to be visited by this weird message. It wasn't me either. "If you're telling the truth, it may be because you're behind a proxy, or using a dynamic IP." Yes, like 99 percent of all internet users.
Well it must be a popular dynamic IP, since most notices to anonymous users are only seen by the person for whom they were intended. However, that does happen from time to time (but see the notice at the bottom of the talk page). Whoever is currently using this IP needs to not create nonsense articles. Thanks! – Jrdioko (Talk) 05:24, 6 Jul 2004 (UTC)
Erm, there's definitely something up. 198.81.26.105 is an AOL proxy IP, and I'm not even on the same continent (let alone the same network) as it. Could be some sort of reverse proxy, similar to Akamai?
Hello, I'm Javier Carro (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usuario:Javier_Carro)], sysop of the Spanish Wikipedia. My IP seems to be dynamic because i´m accused to do vandalism with the same Ip I've got just in this moment (198.81.26.105) . Please, do not block this Ip because then I cannot come to insert the interwikis as i usually do.
I am on a static IP which is not even similar to the 198.81.26.105 (in decimal or binary :) ) and I too got this page.
The same - I live in australia and i actually have an account for wikipedia and am using it and i still got this message.
Maybe you should all create accounts then. Andre 08:41, 9 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Why the hell do i keep getting this message? I am not even on this ip.
is it me ?? 82.227.212.9 20:24, 24 Aug 2004 (UTC)
DAMNIT THIS IS NOT MY IP! WHAT IS GOING ON? 24.229.25.11 05:23, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Scared me, goddamn. Evil people you are.
This IP tracking system is NUTS. I'm checking some baseball stuff and I get "new messages". And it's not the first time. Hell, it's not even my IP for god's sake.
