I have suddenly become a novice bird watcher - I do not know how this happened, or how long it will last, but there you go. Anyhow it is probably a good excuse to get some exercise.
So I don't know too much about birds, but I do have the Simpson & Day "Field Guide to the Birds of Australia" (guess where I live?), a digital camera and two legs that still work ok.
My goal is to get photos of as many different birds as I can. Occasionaly I will post them here, only if there is no existing picture, or mine is much much better. If you have a picture that is much better than one of mine, I will not be upset in the slightest if you replace one of mine.
Where I create a new entry, I am hoping more knowledgeable watchers will write the text.
