Hi, ho. I've been working on a random assortment of mostly Canadian and Danish related articles. I took history in school, and that is one of my main interests in adding to the Pedia. Frankly, it seems like Wikipedia is what the Internet was supposed to be but never was, so I'm glad it came along. I currently live in Daegu, South Korea, teaching English to young Koreans.
Other than that, my main interest is in adding different cultural perspectives to Wiki articles, although this is sometimes quite difficult, seeing as I'm from English-speaking Canada and have a definite European/Canadian bias. I do my best, though.
Various articles that I have some interest in and have worked on:
- Occupation of Denmark
- History of Denmark
- sociobiology
- Anders Fogh Rasmussen
- Thorvald Stauning
- Pierre Trudeau
- Canadian dollar
- Poul Nyrup Rasmussen
- Copenhagen
- money
- Weeping fig
- A.P. Moller-Maersk Group
- Canjet
- Strøget
- Gefion fountain
- Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek
- Franz Conrad von Hötzendorf
- German language
- Austria-Hungary
- Generation Y
- Siege
- University of King's College
- Canadian Airlines
- History of Rwanda
- Hamitic
- Tutsi
- Maji Maji Rebellion
Some others that I now forget.
Here's a good yarn:Wager between John Pierpoint Morgan and Hugh Cecil Lowther, 5th Earl of Lonsdale on whether a man could walk round the world and remain unidentified
I enjoyed this quote from the Salvador Dali article:
"When he fell into the circle of mostly Marxist surrealists who denounced as enemies the monarchists on one hand and the anarchists on the other, Dalí explained to them that he personally was an anarcho-monarchist."
