The images above mean this heading is ignored .. any ideas what the problem is, anyone?
- The Wiki markup for Images and Headings generates HTML which can interact in confusing ways (I think the Images expand to give various <div> sections. Inserting <br clear="both" /> usually straighten things out. Other people, place collections of images into table. -- Solipsist 08:54, 6 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Ah .. thanks. Thought of a table, but then images don't reflow in narrower window. mfc
- One other problem is that images are rendered with an off-centre white surround which shows up on the blue User pages. If you want to get a little more fancy, you can enclose them in a <div style="background:#ffffff"> .... </div> to force a white background. -- Solipsist 20:04, 8 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Not sure I follow -- I see them with a frame [I am using default WP settings] mfc
- Around each frame is a white border which is offset when the image is aligned left or right. Its invisible and useful padding on normal article pages which have a white background in any case. User pages have a light blue background on the monobook style (and probably others), although on some browsers this can be very nearly white. If you can see the blue background the white borders around collections of images can look a bit ragged. But its a pretty small point. -- Solipsist 21:17, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC) (shouldn't this be on you discussion page now....)
