About me
- I'm British, 25 years old, and a PhD student.
- I joined Wikipedia in March 2004.
- While I like to read all sorts of articles on Wikipedia, when editing I tend to do a lot of work on cryptography articles.
- I'm a participant in WikiProject Cryptography; see also the Crypto WikiPortal.
- I'm helping organise a WikiReader Cryptography.
- I'm a big fan of the No personal attacks and Civility policies. I subscribe to the editing style of the Harmonious editing club. I'm a member of the Association of Apathetic Wikipedians.
- I'm an administrator (although I don't spend a great deal of time on admin tasks).
- User:Matt Crypto (bot) is an account I use for automated editing (currently, just cycling an "Article of the Day" box).
- I've contributed to four Featured Articles: Caesar cipher, DES, Enigma (machine), and ROT13.
- So that I can keep track of them, here's the list of non-crypto articles that I've started (mostly stubs, I'm afraid): Africa Inland Mission, Bouncy castle, Bumfights, Chief Mkwawa, Creed & Company, Courtney Pine, Georg Hamel, G20, Hehe, Iringa, Kirkham Priory, Maralal, Matt Redman, Mwanza, Ndorobo, Nicholas Biwott, Norwich Union, Para Red, Party political broadcast, Post-it note, Press up, The Matthew's Range, UCCF, Whitecross, Worship leader
- I'm an occasional maintainer of Category:Fictional chickens.
Cryptotourism
A side project of mine, not affiliated with Wikipedia, is Cryptotourism (http://tourism.wikicities.com/wiki/Cryptotourism), a wiki project to collect information about crypto-history sightseeing, like Bletchley Park or the National Cryptologic Museum.

Copyrights
I want others to be able to use my contributions with as few restrictions as possible. Hence, all my edits to Wikipedia (to which I have the copyright) are released into the public domain. I've been told that in some jurisdictions the concept of the public domain does not exist; if this is the case, then my contributions are available under a range of licenses detailed below: Template:MultiLicenseWithCC-By-All Template:MultiLicensePD
