Hello, and welcome to my user page. Please feel free to leave comments on my talk page, as I enjoy getting them.

About me
I am a 21 year old Political Science and Communications Rhetoric student at the University of Pittsburgh. I've been involved in politics since before I could actually vote, having worked on a campaign when I was 16, and I continue to work on them with some regularity now. I primarily focus on the EU in my studies, with a secondary focus on Germany. I do speak a bit of German, although it seems to fall apart the longer I stay in the US.
My real name is Tom, or Thomas, whatever. E-mail is the easiest way to get ahold of me, tom AT Folsoms DOT net, although AOL IM also works: Tfols1.
I am often very obsessive - once I start working on something, I do not like to stop until it is finished, or someone else is around to work on it. Category:Dance is the perfect example, as I really have no connection to it (neither having ever danced, nor being more than a casual fan of Dance), but it is in such sorry state that I am editing it and trying to improve the entire section almost daily.
On the same token, if I work for awhile and someone else isn't around, I often get lonely and bored, and I work on something else.
Current Status
I spent the summer working for the US Embassy Luxembourg as a summer intern. Now I'm back.
The Name
The name Lyellin is actually a modification of the name of a forest from the book "The Deed of Paksnarrion". In my youthful days (Laughs), I used to play GURPs, a role-playing game, and needed a character name quickly for some scenario, so I made up this. It has since stuck.
Wiki Interests
So far, most of my wiki time has been spent learning the ropes. I've actually been a member for a bit less than a year (started at the end of Dec, 2003), but I took a large break as part of my soph. year of college beat up on me pretty bad. I've just now gotten back into the wiki, and am diving in. Main areas are: Some of my more random music interests (Moxy Früvous, for instance), EU, Category:Luxembourg, Category:Germany. There are others, but mostly random. Due to a friend of mine, I stopped by the ballet page, and realized in what terrible shape it was, in addition to its category, so I'm now on a mission to fix those sections, even though I don't know anything about them (YET!). I'll prolly move on to Ballroom Dancing after that. I also intend to work through the female and male figure skaters, most of whom need an entry, and no one seems to be touching.
