Born and raised in Hawaii, I'm an information technology professional for a major health insurer in Honolulu. Having lived in the Islands all my life (save for four years in Portland, Oregon attending school), and having always considered it home, I have a special interest in Island things. After all, if it weren't for the Hawaiian language (which, incidentally, I don't speak, so don't ask), this site wouldn't be called Wikipedia.
I also have interests in long distance running, choral music, and most anything computer-related, although I haven't had the chance to contribute to them yet.
