Hello there, my name is Danny Chia.
I decided to sign up for an account, even though I have made "anonymous" contributions before. I found this site while I was looking for some information on QuakeC. I did vandalize that page when I was a newbie, but of course, I fixed it after my little "experiment".
Since then, I have been starting and improving many articles, as well as reverting vandalism. I believed that knowledge should be free, so I decided that I should become a regular contributor. Before I registered on December 14, 2002, you may have seen me as two "anonymous" IPs, which I have listed below.
Some of you may wonder how I got my username "ixfd64". A long time ago, I was addicted to a game called Final Doom. On the game's official site, the name of the Final Doom page was "ixfd.htm" (link (http://teamtnt.com/ixfd.htm)). I somehow thought that "ixfd" sounded cool. The game had 64 levels, and I thought that 64 was a cool number (I guess Nintendo 64 started the trend), so that's how I chose "ixfd64".
Some of my interests include computer programming (I do programming in Visual Basic and I know a little Java and JavaScript), science (especially chemistry, physics, and geology), and computer games.
I am a nature lover, and I love hiking in the mountains and the deserts, provided that it's not too hot. I also love family vacations! I love going to national parks and state parks.
I am currently an undergraduate student at UC Berkeley majoring in Engineering Mathematics and Statistics.
Regarding my nationality, I was born in California, but my parents were from Taiwan.
