I am an undergraduate student in Latin American Studies at the University_of_California,_Berkeley. My particular interests are the politics and economics of South America, particularly Colombia, where I was born (Bogotá). I grew up in Los Angeles, well, specifically, Burbank. Before Berkeley, I attended Pasadena City College. I play classical guitar. My first language was English, but I also speak French and Spanish. My username comes from the title of The Glass Bead Game, a great novel by Hermann Hesse.
Sadly, I refrained from taking the plunge for a long time: I didn't become a registered user for months after first becoming an exhaustive, obsessive, constant user of Wikipedia. I have contributed knowledge on Marcel Proust, bullfighting, Pasadena City College, and myriad other topics.
