University alliances in Taiwan
|
There are three major university alliances in Taiwan, mostly organized in 2002, intentionally modelled after other university systems such as the University of California. The key steps in such integration may include pooling of resources such as libraries and some co-ordinated budgeting. The alliances and their respective constituents are:
- Taiwan University System (TUS, 臺灣大學系統)
- University System of Taiwan (UST, 台灣聯合大學系統)
- University System of Formosa (USFO, 臺灣綜合大學系統)
- National Taiwan Normal University which is reportedly about to merge with the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology [1] (http://www.ntnu.edu.tw/scr/new_page_9.htm)
- National Chung Cheng University
- National Taipei University
- National Chung Hsing University
