University Radio Nottingham (usually known as URN) is the university radio station of the University of Nottingham, England. During termtime it broadcasts locally on University Park Campus on 1350 AM, on Sutton Bonington Campus on 1602 AM and worldwide via the web (link below). Occasionally, URN also broadcasts on local FM radio.
The radio station has won more BBC Radio 1 Student Radio Awards than any other radio station. URN also held the world record for the longest continuous broadcast by a single presenter at 42 hours.
In 2004 it moved into new purpose built studios in the basement of the Portland Building, as the old Cherry Tree studios were knocked down to make way for the Portland Building extension.
