United / Uniting churches
|
United / Uniting Churches are churches that unite different protestant assemblies under the roof of one organisation.
To explain this in more detail, the example of Germany helps. The Evangelical Church in Germany is a federation of Lutheran, Reformed, and other Protestant confessions. They form a united body to be more present in the media, more powerful as a group in relation to government, and simply as a means of efficient organisation and cooperation.
