USS Sumner

At least three United States Navy ships have been named Sumner, after the 19th century Navy captain Thomas Hubbard Sumner.
- The first Sumner (DD-333) was a destroyer commissioned in 1921.
- The second Sumner (AGS-5) was originally the submarine tender Bushnell, converted to a survey ship in World War II, and a participant in the nuclear tests at Bikini Atoll.
- The third Sumner (T-AGS-61) is a Pathfinder-class oceanographic survey ship that became operational in 1997.
The destroyer Allen M. Sumner (DD-692) may also be referred to informally as Sumner.
