USS Cheyenne

Three vessels of the United States Navy have been named USS Cheyenne, in honor of the city of Cheyenne, Wyoming.
- The name Cheyenne was assigned to CL-86, but the light cruiser was renamed Vicksburg a year before she was launched in 1942.
- The second Cheyenne (BM-10) was originally the monitor Wyoming, renamed in 1909 to make the name available for the battleship Wyoming (BB-32).
- The name Cheyenne was assigned to CL-117, but the construction contract (with Newport News Shipbuilding) was cancelled 12 August 1945.
- The third Cheyenne (SSN-773) is the last of the Los Angeles-class nuclear attack submarines, commissioned in 1996 and on active service as of 2004.
