Planetary Nebula M2-9, the Twin Jet Nebula.
Planetary Nebula M2-9 was photographed by the Hubble Space Telescope in the 1990s. Its press release was distributed on December 17, 1997. The bipolar planetary nebula has a particular form of twin lobes of material that emanates from a central, dying star. Astronomers dubbed this object as the Twin Jet Nebula because of the shape of the lobes. Its form resembles the wings of a butterfly, for which it is sometimes referred as Wings of a Butterfly Nebula.
