Thomas Joseph "Tom" Tauke (born October 11, 1950) is a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives. Tauke represented the northeast corner of the state of Iowa (referred to as either the 1st or 2nd district). In 1990, he attempted to unseat Democrat Tom Harkin, but he was unsuccessful. Tauke left active politics at that point, as has since concentrated on the private sector. Jim Nussle followed him as the Representative for northeast Iowa.
