Tillsonburg, Ontario is a town in the Canadian province of Ontario. It is located at a Latitude of 42°52' North and a Longitude of 80°44' West.
Tillsonburg is town of 14,052[1] (http://www12.statcan.ca/english/census01/products/standard/popdwell/Table-CSD-P.cfm?T=1&PR=35&SR=526&S=1&O=A) located an hour's drive south west of Niagara Falls. It has:
- a large community centre,
- a hospital
- 1 high school, Glendale
- one of the widest main streets in Ontario: built to allow a team of oxen to turn around in the middle of the street
- Irish playwright Malachy McKenna has written an award winning play entitled "Tillsonburg"
- Canadians Stompin' Tom Connors as well as the Cash Brothers have written songs entitled "Tillsonburg"
- Colin Campbell, former NHL player and now a Vice President of the league, was born in Tillsonburg
- a rather large 60 acre (243,000 m²) paintball field called "area 51 sportsfield" [[2] (http://www.area-51.on.ca)] which offers private games for patrons aged 12+
The economy is based on factories and agriculture.
