The Tale of Peter Rabbit
|
The Tale of Peter Rabbit is the first of many children's tales written and illustrated by Beatrix Potter. The book was written for private amusement, but publication was urged by Potter's friends. The book appeared in 1902, published by Frederick Warne and Company, London.
The tale is the story of Peter Rabbit, who as an adventurous young bunny, invades the garden of Mr. McGregor. This in the same garden where Peter's father had met with an unfortunate accident.
